Expertise

Centerstone offers therapeutic foster care – that means we can help you find resources you or your family may need beyond fostering, like therapy, counseling or medical services. Our approach is based on evidence-based practices – making sure you and your family have the best treatment available.

Training

We provide case management and lifeskills training for the youth placed in their care. Our staff is comprised of highly trained mental health professionals who are experts in the latest therapeutic approaches for creating safe, nurturing environments for kids in foster care.
We also train YOU – making sure you have the tools you need as you set out on the journey – and to help you all along the way.

• Financial support through a per diem that is used to reimburse you for some of your costs for taking care of a child and their needs

Our therapeutic foster care program is an intensive program for families that need it. This is an intensive, treatment-based approach to caring for children in foster care to better meet their physical and emotional needs.
Youth in therapeutic foster care meet regularly with a therapist and a case manager who monitor the young person’s progress. These professionals also assist the foster family, and therapeutic foster parents will receive continual training and 24/7 professional support.

We will support you

At Centerstone, our foster care team carefully chooses families based on the needs of the children referred to our program.
Some children may have experienced trauma, and as a result, they may find it difficult to cope in their new home. For these families, we provide case management and therapy services to assist you and your foster child.
We also train our staff and families to work with the “whole child,” with a focus on sleep, diet and exercise. By helping children make healthy choices, their chances of success dramatically increase.
No matter what their needs, every child in our foster care family program receives essential care. We even offer counseling sessions at our clinics if you or your foster child need it. Centerstone’s therapists are available for in-home visits to help manage complex issues if they ever come up.
